B&Q DIY Stores
B and Q wasn't always known as B and Q.
The name B&Q came from the founders of the company: Richard Block and David Quayle. The store was first known as Block and Quayle until this was shortened to B&Q.
Both Block and Quayle the original founders left B and Q in the late 70's. Since then B&Q has grown through a range of mergers and acquisitions to become one of the biggest DIY retailers in the UK.
